Dear Friends,

Join the Network

We have now launched a new scheme for becoming a member of the International IgAN Nephropathy Network. Although the Network is still in an early stage of development, we hope that you will agree that the benefits of membership are already well worth the annual fee of £25 Sterling.

You can join and pay your subscription on-line which we hope you will find convenient. Please check more details about this at https://www.triangle3.org.uk/iigann/membership/

Developing a Consensus on a Clinico-pathological Classification for IgA Nephropathy

The most important of our current activities is the work developing a consensus clinico-pathological classification for IgA Nephropathy.

This work is being led by the Network working with the Renal Pathology Society, and also under the auspices of the International Society of Nephrology. We have received generous sponsorship from Aspreva Pharmaceuticals and Kidney Research UK.

A very successful meeting of the Consensus Group was recently held in Oxford, UK, attended by twelve nephrologists and fourteen renal pathologists. You can find elsewhere on this website a summary of the Oxford meeting and the plans for the next stage of the group's work

http://www.igan-world.org/oxfordmeeting.htm

There is strong collaboration developing within the group, and we are optimistic we can achieve our goal of a classification which will have true international acceptance.
