Dear Friends & Colleagues
Website
I hope that you are continuing to find our new look website interesting and
helpful. One of my favourite features is the bibliography which I turn to very
often when I am writing about IgA nephropathy or planning further research.
I find it a very efficient way of making sure I am completely up to date with
current publications.
I would also encourage you to look at the History page where we have recently
posted a fascinating article by Professor Stewart Cameron on ‘Berger’s
disease before Berger’.
We are continuing to develop the website and intend next year to make available more information suitable for patients and carers who have no other medical knowledge.
St Etienne
Congress - 26-27 March 2004
The big event of the coming year for the Network is our congress in St Etienne,
France in March. Francois Berthoux, the local organiser and his scientific committee
have developed an excellent programme to inform us about all the latest clinical
and research developments in IgA nephropathy.
Our congresses which we hold every two years are a great opportunity to meet
old friends and make new friends from all over the world. We share a common
interest in IgA nephropathy and the congresses are always relaxed and friendly,
but intellectually vigorous.
You still have an opportunity to submit an abstract - the closing date has been
extended to December 24th. But even if you cannot present an abstract, I hope
very much to see you in St. Etienne.
For full registration and abstract submission details go to http://www.igan-world.org/2004meeting.htm
ERA-EDTA
Congress, Lisbon - 15-18 May 2004
There will be a scientific session organised by International IgA Nephropathy
Network – ‘What’s new in IgA nephropathy’. I hope I
shall also see you there.
